The Cost

Our Start Up Package has been specifically designed for small businesses and is priced accordingly.

If you have less than 6 employees, the cost of the Start Up Pack is £395 plus £45 per month. The monthly payment entitles you to continuing advice and guidance on a month by month basis as set out below. It may be terminated by three months notice.

If you have more than 5 employees then the cost of the start up pack increases by up to £60 per employee. £60 is the maximum depending on your business operations, for example, how many offices you work out of and how complex your operations are.

When you get in touch with us, we will be able to be more specific.

If you have more than 15 employees, please contact us for a specific quote based on your individual circumstances.

Our pricing is based upon the number of employees because more employees implies more work space and a greater number of working practices to assess. All sums quoted are net of VAT.

Our Price Promise

For many small businesses the Start Up Package will be sufficient to make you health and safety compliant.  All you will need to do then is to review your risk assessments and your policy from time to time, continue to consult with your employees and make adjustments when circumstances change.

For others, the Initial Risk Assessment will highlight areas where individual hazards require a separate hazard-specific assessment.  This most commonly happens when your work involves such things as flammable materials or chemicals or specific industrial or agricultural operations.

Our Additional Services page has a list of the kind of things commonly encountered and they are not hazards that we assess as part of the Start Up Package.

We promise that we will not embark upon any work unless we have provided you with a written quote and agreed a fee in advance.

You will have complete control over what is spent and when.

When you contact us to start the process, we will ask you certain questions about your business.  We will assess the information you provide to us and then send you a formal written confirmation of the total cost we envisage. You are not committed to anything until you have approved that quote so please do not hesitate to contact us with your details.

The monthly retainer entitles you to advice and guidance on an ongoing basis. It covers our initial response to any query you may have. In many situations no additional charges will be incurred by you but if your query requires any detailed follow up we will provide you with an upfront quote and will not embark upon any work or incur any charges without your prior written approval.

The safety audit package covers your responsibilities as an employer under the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 and the Regulations made under it.  It is not intended to cover any responsibilities you might otherwise have under any other pieces of legislation such as labelling obligations, or any obligations as a manufacturer or supplier and the like.  Where we are able to help with additional advice in these areas, we will provide a specific quote, upon request.
